Bill Higgins

Equipment Manager

2017-18 is Bill's 15th season as the lead Equipment Manager for the Nailers.

Higgins, 36, was born in Wheeling, WV on August 20, 1981, and has been a mainstay in the Ohio Valley ever since. Bill attended Wheeling Park High School, where he graduated from in 1999. The following fall, he joined the Nailers as an Assistant Equipment Manager, which was a role that he held from 2000-03.

At the start of the 2003-04 season, Higgins took over as the team's Equipment Manager. During that time, Bill has failed to miss a game, currently owning a streak of 1,008 consecutive regular season games and 85 postseason contests, giving him an overall run of 1,093 straight games. In 2006-07, he was voted on by his peers to serve as an Equipment Manager at the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game in Boise, Idaho. Higgins has also served as the club's emergency back-up goaltender for the Nailers in over 100 games.

Bill worked his 1,000th career regular season game on March 19, 2017.
