The Wheeling Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL). 2025-26 is the 29th season of the affiliation agreement with Pittsburgh and the 27th season of the affiliation agreement with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Wheeling and Pittsburgh's 29 years mark the longest active agreement between ECHL and NHL teams.
