The Wheeling Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL). 2024-25 is the 28th season of the affiliation agreement with Pittsburgh and the 26th season of the affiliation agreement with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Wheeling and Pittsburgh's 28 years mark the longest active agreement between ECHL and NHL teams.
