Brian Komorowski
Hometown: Wheeling, West Virginia
Education: Bethany College
Joined the Nailers: 2012
Brian Komorowski joined the Regional Economic Development Partnership (RED) in 1998, having graduated from Bethany College with an Accounting Degree in 1996. Brian has been active in economic development in West Virginia, and is the initial point of contact for various leading programs. His current position with RED is Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, in which he handles deal structuring, lease and tenant management, and building maintenance. Brian is active in many community organizations, including the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce, West Virginia Economic Development Council, and Wheeling Area Soccer Association, among others. In 2012, Brian joined the Nailers, then became the team's Alternate Governor in 2013, and handled all day to day operations. In 2020, he took over as President and Governor. Brian and his wife Jen reside in Wheeling with their three children - Andrew, Thomas, and Meredith.

John Davis
Hometown: Wheeling, West Virginia
Education: Xavier University
Joined the Team: April 2021
John currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer & Alternate Governor for the Wheeling Nailers Hockey Team (ECHL), where he oversees business operations. John has served in this role since April of 2021, which is his second stint with the franchise. John started his career in 1992 with the Wheeling Thunderbirds, serving as the mascot for the organization over the first two seasons.
John previously served as Senior Director of Sales at Churchill Downs. He oversaw the Suite, Premium, Special Events and Ticket Sales departments, spanning the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Oaks, and the entire racing calendar. Prior to Churchill Downs, John was Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service for the Cleveland Browns Football Team (NFL) where he oversaw all aspects of ticketing, premium and suites. Both Churchill Downs and the Cleveland Browns enjoyed multiple franchise records in attendance and revenues under John’s leadership.
John also served as Vice President of Ticket Sales, Cincinnati Reds Baseball Team (MLB), and the New York Islanders Hockey Team (NHL), and as Sr. Vice President/Asst. General Manager for Mandalay Baseball Properties (MiLB).
John graduated with a B.A. in Sports Marketing from Xavier University. He and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, Campbell and Rosella.

Adam Bonenberger

Max Fiedorczyk
Hometown: Weirton, West Virginia
Education: West Liberty University
Joined the Nailers: February 2023
Max was a Sport Management Major at West Liberty University. During his time at West Liberty, he served as the Student Government Association Treasurer, was the Women’s Basketball Student Manager, Student Ambassador, and a Resident Assistant. Max joined the Nailers right out of college in February of 2023, and served as a Ticket Sales Manager for two years before being elevated to the Director of Corporate Sales role. Following the end of the 2023-24 season, he was nominated for the ECHL Rookie Salesman of the Year and won an ECHL Groupie Award for Unions and Trades Night. In his free time, Max loves to travel, run, and spend time with the people he loves the most.

Alexis Pennell
Hometown: East Canton, Ohio
Education: Marietta College
Joined The Nailers: July 2024
With three years in the sports industry, Alexis has brought high energy to the Washington Wild Things, Savannah Bananas, and the Boca Raton Bowl. Now, as the Game Operations Manager for the Wheeling Nailers, she’s on a mission to make every game a fun and unforgettable experience. When she’s not at the rink, she’s golfing with her fiancé Nate Dicks (and winning), gaming on her PS5, or cheering on her favorite NHL team—the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fun fact: she grew up on an alpaca farm, so managing chaos comes naturally!

DJ Abisalih
Hometown: Methuen, Massachusetts
Education: New England School of Communications
Joined The Nailers: 2011
DJ is the longest tenured broadcaster in team history, as he came to Wheeling in 2011, and recently called his 1,000th game with the team on November 30, 2024. In addition to broadcasting the games, DJ's daily responsibilities include media relations, community relations, and team travel. Prior to working for the Nailers, Abisalih was a broadcaster for the QMJHL's Lewiston MAINEiacs for two seasons, and he also held a variety of roles in his nine seasons with the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox AA affiliate). DJ is a diehard New England sports fan, who also enjoys cooking in his spare time. DJ, his fiancée Mindy, and his stepdaughters Ashlyn and Kaylin live in Martins Ferry.

Isaac Basinger
Hometown: Wheeling, West Virginia
Education: West Liberty University
Joined The Nailers: 2020-2021 season
Isaac was born and raised right here in Wheeling, WV. He also attended nearby West Liberty University where he studied Broadcasting and Public Relations. While at West Liberty was the play-by-play voice of the Hilltoppers for over 100 games while also being producer/talent for an on-campus sports talk show. Isaac started with the Nailers at the beginning of the 2020-2021 season, where he started as a “Gameday employee” to Intern to eventually a full-time employee. During his free time, he likes to watch sports (especially his University of Texas Longhorns) and play golf.

Patrick O'Neill
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Education: Clemson University
Joined The Nailers: Summer 2023
Patrick started with the Wheeling Nailers as a Marketing Manager in the summer of 2023, and has been working in the sports industry for 7 years. Prior to this, he worked for Clemson University Football's Recruiting Department as a Graphic Designer and Content Creator for a Pittsburgh-based sports endorsement company called PLB Sports & Entertainment. A fun fact about Patrick is he has competed in a 1v1 staring contest with Bills QB Josh Allen for 2 minutes straight!

Rachel Abramson
Hometown: Orlando, Florida
Education: Savannah College of Art & Design

Rachel started working as an intern for a hockey team in her senior year of college and once she graduated she ended up applying for an internship with the Wheeling Nailers, then was hired full-time as the Marketing Manager right at the end of the 2024-25 season. Rachel’s main goal is to make you feel like you are there in the moment as captured through her photography. In her free time Rachel enjoys spending time with my friends and family, going to the gym, watching hockey and being an at home barista for all her friends. Also fun fact is that Rachel is a twin!

Tyler Smith
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Education: Robert Morris University
Joined the Nailers: May 2023
Growing up in Pittsburgh, sports have always been a huge part of Tyler’s life. His dad built and owned a Dek Hockey rink in Pittsburgh when he was young, so hockey quickly became Tyler's favorite sport. Playing and watching sports has always been Tyler's favorite thing to do so when it came to deciding what he wanted to do with his life, it was clear that Tyler wanted sports to be involved and decided to go that path. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Robert Morris University then moved to Chicago out of college and worked at his first job for 1 week before COVID hit and forced the world to go remote. After 2 years, Tyler was able to find a job close enough to home in the field that he loves. On the personal side, Tyler has two younger siblings, one who lives in Pittsburgh and one that lives in Brooklyn, NY. He also has a grey cat named Lucy.

Andrew Dalton
Hometown: Wheeling, West Virginia
Education: West Liberty University
Joined the Nailers: March 2025
Andrew originally joined the Nailers in 2019 as a volunteer with the Ice Crew then, in 2022 transitioned to a role on the Game Day Operations Crew, to finally join the front office staff in March 2025. He majored in both Marketing and Entrepreneurship at West Liberty University. Andrew started playing hockey at just 4 years old, and it has been a constant and very big part of his life ever since. Outside the rink, he enjoys creating and listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies and sports.

Annalisa Hall
Hometown: Parkersburg, West Virginia
Education: Fairmont State University
Joined The Nailers: April 2025
Anna has been working professionally in the sports industry for three years. Before helping others have the best experience possible with their favorite team; she played softball and swam for her high school (Parkersburg High School). Her favorite things to do when she is not cheering on the Nailers is taking her dog, Echo on walks, yoga and watching Grey’s Anatomy with her cat, Ajax. If you see Anna at the fan experience table stop by and say hi!
