WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, are pleased to announce that they have added a new member to the organization. Neil Tennant has joined the team as a new Ticket Sales Account Executive.
Tennant graduated from Fordham University in 2016 with a degree in Marketing and a concentration in Sports Business. During his undergraduate career, Neil had the opportunity to work inside the marketing departments of some of the most prominent sporting brands in the world, such as the boxing manufacturer Everlast. After graduation, he stayed within the greater New York City area, working in retail sales at the city's largest sporting goods store.
Neil joins the Nailers with the unique perspective of having lived in New York City for five years, learning and discovering what is truly possible, not only for the Nailers organization, but the Wheeling area as a whole. He hopes to be one of many young professionals returning to the city, rediscovering the amazing quality of life the Ohio Valley offers. Neil believes that the Nailers are uniquely positioned to thrive as part of the revitalization of Wheeling.
Tennant will do his best to ensure the entire city joins him for the weekend parties at WesBanco Arena, often referred to as games.
The Wheeling Nailers will begin the 2017-18 season with two road games against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on October 13th and 14th. The home opener at WesBanco Arena takes place on October 21st at 7:05, when the Nailers do battle with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
